Changes in Protein and Lipopolysaccharide Profiles of Bradyrhizobium Japonicyum Strains and TN5-Mutants of Various Efficiency

Journal Title: The Advanced Science Journal - Year 2010, Vol 2010, Issue 3

Abstract

The peculiarities of protein and lipopolysaccharide content of soybean rhizobia with contrasting symbiotic characteristics were studied in vitro. It was shown that the qualitative composition of proteins of nodule bacteria is identical, regardless of their symbiotic characteristics. The only exception was the protein composition of the strain 604k missing the polypeptide with a molecular weight of 15 kDa. The inactive strain 604k and low active Tn5-mutants of Bradyrhizobium japonicum 107 and 113 have a slight saturation of electrophoretic bands of lipopolysaccharides and their profile have differed from the profiles of highly active strains and Tn5-mutants of B. japonicum.
