Characterization of Iron and Low Alloy Steel Powders Obtained by Water Atomization
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2009, Vol 32, Issue 1
Abstract
Three types of iron and low ally steel powders were investigated to determinate their physical properties and surface morphology by SEM analysis. The powders were obtained by water atomization. The first type of powder is an iron powder (P1) and low alloy steel powders. Frequently, the alloying elements are copper, nickel and molybdenum (powders P2 and P3).

Research on Abrasive Wear Behaviour of Laser Cladding Layers With Aluminum Bronze Powders
The paper presents the wear behaviour on rotating disk with abrasive paper of laser cladding layers with aluminum bronze powders compared with steel samples and aluminum bronze classically quenched. The hardness and wear...
Impact of Hydrocarbon Exploitation Activity on Surface and Underground Waters in the Area
This paper presents the natural components of water, and those of pollution. For this, water samples were taken from the brook that runs through the analysed area, and from a fountain, located on the edge of the village,...
Solutions for Diagnosing Faults in Asynchronous Motor Stator Through a Ferrofluid Installation
Due to their reliability, robustness and multitude of variants of motors, electric machines are commonly used in industrial drives. Although they are relatively simple pieces of equipment, asynchronous motors can sometim...
Low Potential Heat Recovery Using Heat Pumps
This paper presents a study on the possibility of recovering low thermal potential heat from the cooling technological water of industrial processes. The analysed solution consists in the use of a heat pump which would s...
