Chemical and Structural Changes for Bimetallic Materials Obtained by the Welding Process
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2005, Vol 28, Issue 2
Abstract
This paper presents the transformations which take place during the obtaining process of bimetallic materials. As a plating process was used the welding. The added material was a bronze with aluminum complex alloyed with iron, nickel. The based material was the steel. EDAX analyses and microstructures analyses were done in order to explain the metallurgical processes which take place during the facing by melting.

The Influence of the Heat Treatment upon the Resistance to Corrosion of the Composite Obtained Using the Electrodepositing of TiO2 in a Nickel Matrix
The resistance to corrosion of a composite material obtained using the electrodepositing of TiO2 in a nickel matrix subjected to heat treatment was studied using the galvanostatic method; the samples were obtained by the...
Numerical Study on Ballistic Phenomena - Part Two
The study of ballistic phenomena (interior ballistics, exterior ballistics and terminal ballistics) is an activity that involves the use of complex and at the same time very expensive equipment. Also, another aspect wort...
Profilometric Analysis of Worn Surface of Bronze, Iron and Iron Composite Samples, by Pin-on-Disk Method
In this study are presented the results of profilometric analysis for the wear of bronze materials, cast iron and composite materials. These materials were tested under dry wear conditions, using "pin-on-disk" method on...
Austenitic Stainless Steels Corrosion Properties Modified by Silicon Alloying
In the present paper there are presented results concerning comparative corrosion resistance of some austenitic stainless steels, with or without silicon content. The silicon content is varying in the range of 1-5 %, in...
The Johnson-Mehl-Avrami Model Applied to Martensitic Kinetics in Ausformed Cooper Based Shape Memory Alloy
CuAlNi shape memory alloys which are used as sensors and actuators have also been investigated recently as materials for medicine devices. This study shows the influence of the thermo – mechanical treatments in CuAl13Ni...
