CHEMISTRY OF THE MINERAL AND THERAPEUTIC WATER FROM IWONICZ–RYMANOW REGION (CARPATHIAN MOUNTAINS, SOUTH POLAND)
Journal Title: Biuletyn Państwowego Instytutu Geologicznego - Year 2011, Vol 445, Issue 445
Abstract
Total dissolved solids in the mineral and therapeutic water of the Iwonicz and Rymanow region range from 0.6 g/dm3 to 22.6 g/dm3. The hydrochemical facies of the water are typically Cl–HCO3–Na and HCO3–Cl–Na. Origin of the mineral and therapeutic water is connected with complicated geology of the study area i.e. formation of the orogen, with multi-layered sandstone and schists, in a folded structure. Conditions of the relatively slow groundwater flow are connected with deceleration of the mineralized sinsedimentation water or metamorphic sea water replacement by flux of the infiltration water with low TDS.

STATIONARY MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF AN AQUIFER AS A BASIC TOOL FOR MANAGEMENT OF GROUNDWATER RESOURCES IN THE CONCENTRATED OPENCAST MINING INDUSTRY IN THE HOLY CROSS MOUNTAINS
Opencast mining industry very often extracts mineral resources below the groundwater table. Dewatering of excavations affects exploitable groundwater resources. It causes only temporal changes, but if they last several t...

The groundwater Neogene multiaquifer is the central hydrostructural part of Wrocław basin unit, which covers crystalinic series of przedsudecki block and dyscordantly lying residuals of the Sudetian Monocline The Odra ri...
EXPERIMENTAL MODELLING OF AMBER DEPOSITION IN THE COASTAL ZONE OF SEDIMENTARY BASIN
This paper presents observations and conclusions which apply to an experimental model of amber sedimentation in the costal zone of sedimentary basin. Observations of amber behavior in fluvial and deltaic systems are show...

THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER INFILTRATION IN THE PROCESS OF NON-COHESIVE SOIL COMPACTION BASED ON INVESTIGATIONS IN GROUNDWATER INTAKES FOR THE CITY OF POZNAŃ AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES
The compaction process of loose soils mineral skeleton is influenced by many factors, e.g.: vibrations, overloading and water flow through soils. The aim of the present paper is to asses significance of the last factor....
