City of the bishops of Kraków. The preserved traces of the history of Sławków

Abstract
The paper features the case of the town of Sławków, which is located in Zagłębie Dąbrowskie in the Silesian Voivodeship and is counted among those medieval towns that have preserved their original urban layout. Based on the author's observations, as well as an analysis of available sources, the paper discusses the state of the preservation of architectural elements that are proof of the activity of Kraków's clergy during the early XIII century, as well as the further transformation of said elements over the course of history. Other historical elements that create the distinctive style of the town's architecture – like arcades – have also been pointed out by the author.
