CLASSIFICATION OF TYPES OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

In scientific sources various classification criteria and types of socio-economic system development have been described. However, they considerably differ and sometimes contradict each other depending on treatment of the notion by each scientist. Lack of systematization of development criteria and types results in duplicating the names and characteristics, as well as incomplete description of all properties, which makes impossible performing clear classification of types of socio-economic system development. It has been suggested to perform classification of development types according to major manifestations of the notion essence, i.e.: immanent property, principle, law, process, phenomenon, result. The criteria have been determined, types of development specified and their characteristic given on each manifestation of the notion essence. The comparison of the suggested classification with those existing in scientific works has been performed, and an explanation of their differences has been given. The new suggested classification criteria are: strategic orientation, radicalism and efficiency of changes. Some classification groups have been improved with respect to the criteria described in scientific sources. Thus, according to perspective (duration) of development operative development has been distinguished and according to the method of performing (space variations) – external insourcing and external outsourcing development. So, the suggested classification of socio-economic system development allows specifying the development character, and will result in improvement of its modeling and management, increasing quality of strategies development and realization.
