CLINICAL AND LABORATORY MANIFESTATIONS OF POLYARTERITIS NODOSA ONSET (RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS)

Abstract

The early features of clinical manifestations and laboratory changes in 112 patients with polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) were investigated. Fever, myalgias of leg muscles, weight loss, symmetric oligo- or polyarthritis, cutaneous lesions (subcutaneous nodes and ulceration) and peripheral sensory polyneuropathy are the first five most frequent symptoms in PAN patients. The detection of musculoskeletal features, skin manifestations and neurological symptoms may improve early diagnosis of PAN.
