Abstract

The technological developments that have taken place mainly during recent decades have introduced fundamental changes in the way medicine is practiced and have helped younger physicians in the management of difficult cases. The application of guidelines offers readily available, documented experience. This article analyses the advantages and disadvantages of the modern way of practicing medicine.
