Coagulopathies in critically ill patients

Abstract

Coagulopathy in critically ill patients is common andof multifactorial, which requires a careful and methodical clinicpathological approach to ensure correctdiagnosis and the appropriate treatment.Aanticipatory monitoringof the coagulation parameters in at risk patients, is needed before the serious episodes of the bleeding or thrombosis occurs. Inthisreview, we have discussed the most frequentlyencountered coagulopathies in critically ill children,with their differential diagnosis, pathophysiology and appropriate diagnosticand therapeutic interventions
