College Freshmen Least Mastered Higher Order Thinking Skills in Purposive Communication: Inputs for Developing and Evaluating Digitized Multimodal Learning Activities

Abstract

This study attempted to determine the least mastered higher order thinking skills of College Freshmen in Purposive Communication at Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU), Antipolo Campus during the school year 2022-2023 which served as inputs in developing and evaluating digitized multimodal learning materials. The descriptive method of research was used with the evaluation questionnaire and the final examination as the data gathering instruments. The sources of data for the identification of the least mastered skills were 67 students of OLFU. The developed digitized multimodal learning activities were evaluated by the students, teachers, and the expert respondents as Very Highly Acceptable (VHA) as evidenced by their grand weighted means of 3.18, 3.65, and 3.81, respectively and there were no significant differences on their evaluation. Comments and suggestions were provided by the respondents to further improve the product.
