COMMISSIONING COURSE TRAINEES IN CONTEXT OF TOTAL INSTITUTION CONCEPT. SOCIOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE

Abstract
In his article Commissioning Course Trainees in Context of Total Institution Concept. Sociological Perspective, the author describes the concept of a total institution, an institution which, according to this study, a military academy is undoubtedly an example of.The creator of this idea, Erving Goffman, mainly surveyed the environment of total institutions from the angle of prisons and mental institutions. He also discussed military barracks as a total institution, which is what made the author of this article gain more insight into the issue.The article presents the functions and characteristics of such organisations, emphasizing the role and position of commissioning course trainees in the reality of a military academy as a total institution.
