Abstract
This article provides a comparative analysis of procedural status of counsel in criminal-procedural legislation of Ukraine, Republic of Belarus and Republic of Estonia. The main object is regulation of rights defender, engagement, confirmation of authority and defense counsel in criminal proceedings. And also highlighted problems of regulation of legal status of defense counsel in Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
