COMPETÊNCIAS REQUERIDAS NO COMÉRCIO EXTERIOR: UM ESTUDO SOB A ÓTICA DE ESTUDANTES

Abstract
This paper brings an analysis about the Brazilian foreign trade context, the competencies to this professional pointed out in literature, and also the partial results of a research with undergraduate students of Foreign Trade. The data were collected through the focus groups technique and analyzed through discursive textual analysis. Aspects concerning the learning of the competencies necessary to act in the area, from the perspective of the students researched, are presented. Regarding the professional profile, according to the authors, the professional has to aggregate general competencies, such as negotiation, creativity, foreign languages mastering, strategic vision and global culture. The opinions of the participating students converge with literature because, for them, the professional needs to have a training that includes customs and legislation knowledge, negotiation, communication and cultural aspects, in order to better face the challenges of the globalized market.
