Competitive potential of the automotive industry’s enterprises: essential and structural characteristic

Abstract
Introduction. The automotive industry is the integral part of Ukraine's industry. But nowadays the automotive industry’s enterprises suffer from the difficult, complex and systematic problems, the combined effect of which has led to the decrease of competitiveness of the domestic automakers. The competitiveness of enterprise of the automotive industry is the dynamic ability of enterprise of the automotive industry to ensure the efficiency of all activities as result of interaction of the internal competitive potential and the external competitive environment factors in accordance with the chosen competitive strategy at the certain stage of the life cycle. Thus, the competitive potential is the basis of competitiveness of the automotive industry’s enterprises. The purpose is providing the essential and structural characteristic of the competitive potential of the automotive industry’s enterprises. The achievement of the purpose involves conducting the theoretical research with using the method of analysis and synthesis, the system approach, the monographic method, the historical method, the method of theoretical generalization. Results. The essence of the competitive potential of the automotive industry’s enterprise is «the complex of the realized and potential industrial, personnel, managerial, innovative, investment, financial, strategical and market resources of the automobile’s manufacturer, which ensuring the competitiveness of the automotive products in the automobile’s market and the efficiency of all types of activities of the automotive industry’s enterprise at the various stages of the life cycle». Conclusion. The essential characteristic of the competitive potential of the automotive industry’s enterprise indirectly indicates its structural characteristic. The basic structure of the competitive potential of the automotive industry’s enterprises includes two elements − realized and unrealized (potential) parts. The component structure of the competitive potential of the automotive industry’s enterprises includes such elements as the industrial, personnel, managerial, innovative, investment, financial, strategical and market potential.
