Abstract
Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) assumes to use dedicated soft-ware for controlling machine tools and similar devices in the process of workpieces manufacturing. CAM is, in fact, an application technology that uses computer software and machinery to simplify and automate manufacturing processes. CAM is the inheritor of computer-aided engi-neering (CAE) and is often used conjunctively with computer-aided de-sign (CAD). Advanced CAM solutions are forthcoming and have a large coverage, from discrete systems to multi-CAD 3D domain. CAM does not supersede the necessity of human factor intervention, as produc-tion engineers, programmers or operators, but intercedes the knowl-edge of experimented manufacturing engineers by using performant devices, while enhancing the competences of new professionals by having access to latest modern equipment. CAM runs along with CNC machines. The purpose of CAM-CNC system is to reduce as much as possible the intervention of human factor, thus reducing human error. The present paper follows to highlight the advantages of CAM-CNC sys-tem on a 3D workpiece manufacturing.

New Adaptive Observer for Sensorless Induction Motor Drives
The paper deals with a new type of observer for the rotor flux and speed of the induction motor. The new observer is designed to be used within a speed sensorless direct rotor field oriented control of induction motors....
Aspects regarding the Calculation of the Dielectric Loss Angle Tangent between the Windings of a Rated 40 MVA Transformer
The paper aims to identify how to determine the dielectric loss angle tangent of the electric transformers from the transformer stations. Autors of the paper managed a case study on the dielectric established between hig...
HydroHillChart – Francis module. Software used to Calculate the Hill Chart of the Francis Hydraulic Turbines
The paper presents the Hydro Hill Chart - Francis module application, used to calculate the hill chart of the Pelton, Francis and Kaplan hydraulic turbine models, by processing the data measured on the stand. After de-sc...
Effects of Structural Damage on Dynamic Behavior at Sandwich Composite Beams – Part II- FEM Analysis
This paper presents results obtained by modal analysis on composite beam like structures in healthy and damaged state. The aim is to obtain damage “signatures” for all possible damage scenarios and to use these data to a...
Comparative Study through Modal Analysis of Thin Trapeze Shape Plates Clamped on Contour without and with Damages
This paper presents a comparative study of four types of plates in the form of trapeze, clamped on the contour, regarding modal analysis. After this analysis, there have been obtained the Eigen frequencies for 30 vibra...
