Conceptual bases of functioning of information and communication systems for product range management

Abstract

The article discusses the basic principles of categorical management. Goal of categorical management is defined as ensuring of maximum satisfaction of customer needs while improving the efficiency of interaction between the supplier and the seller. An stages of formation and implementation of assortment policy, in which the categorical manager take part, and areas of their responsibility are defined. The basic elements of information and communication system and the factors that influence on the choice of communication channel are considered. Interim systems that are information– technological base for solving of functional problems of categorical management are characterized.
