Connection between the Eloquence and Shariah

Journal Title: Alorooba Research Journal - Year 2020, Vol 1, Issue 1

Abstract

The Arabs were known for their eloquence from ancient times, and they were competing in the field of saying, especially (poetry). The poet had a great place in them; because he used to defend them, broadcast their exploits, take pride in their virtues, and speak to their enemies, and the whole tribe used to celebrate his genius. The poet, at that time, had been considered a ministry of information for his tribe. When the divine revelations revealed upon Prophet Muhammad PBUH in the shape of Holy Quran and Prophet Sayings, they were considered as miracles in the field of elegance of Arabic language. Quranic and prophetic rhetoric had become the standard of eloquence. This research aims to examine aspects of the eloquence of the Prophet PBUH within the framework of selected examples from the His PBUH sayings. This study highlights the topic in a descriptive and analytical way.
