Abstract
The article analyzes the legal aspects of the meaning of “security guarantees” and “security assurances” stipulated in the Memorandum on Security Assurances in connection with Ukraine’s accession to the NPT of 5 December 1995 as well as highlights the legal content of these concepts in relation to national guarantees of the Ukraine’s security that it should be received by Ukraine on condition of destruction of the nuclear weapons dislocated on its territory.
