Construção de PolÃticas para repositórios institucionais: análise da ferramenta do OPENDOAR

Abstract
This paper aims to discuss the need of the repositories, especially the institutional one, to build and to disclose their operation policies. It analyzes the tool for building operation policies of the OpenDOAR repositories according to guidelines proposed by Leite, Tomaél e Silva and Viana and Márdero Arellano. It designs an instrument to analyze the tool as from the synthesis of the categories found in the guidelines mentioned before. The categories of policy tool are compared with the synthesis of policies that are part of the instrument constructed. This study informs about the procedures and steps that marked the research, an unique case study. It reflects on the service rendered by the tool for the guidance proposed in the guidelines. It concludes that the tool contributes to repositories responsible for the construction and dissemination policies, and for the operation of them. It deduces, supported by the literature, on promoting the adoption and disclosure of policies for operation can provide to the depository. It proposes further research about the mentioned tool, employing other methods of analysis.
