Abstract
India i s ranked as the most attractive emerging retail market in the world and has e arned itself the unflattering label of a “nation of shop keepers”. As consumer shopping behavior and preference s differ from country to country, t he retailers have to adop t t he consumer shopping mentality . T hey have to study consumer culture, business practices, and industry dynamics based on their attention towards retail stores. Analyzing in order to meet the changi ng demand of consumers , a huge revamping exercise is on. This study is an attempt to prove that attention and interest of the consumers to wards retail products change their buying behavior towards retail stores
