Contemporary German Ukrainian Studies: the University of Passau

Abstract

The article gives an idea of the development of contemporary Ukrainian Studies in Germany through the example of the University of Passau (Lower Bavaria). The author informs about activities of two University chairs of the Faculty of Philosophy: the Chair of Modern and Contemporary History and Culture of Eastern Europe and the Chair of Slavic Literatures and Cultures as well as two centers – the Ukrainian Studies Competence Center and «East European Perspective».
