Corporate non-financial reporting as an informational component of social responsible investments

Abstract

Urgency of the research. The necessity of the balance between the interests of business and society raises the issue of improving corporate governance on the base of its social orientation and responsibility, which requires appropriate information support. Target setting. There is a necessity for more complete information for ensuring the process of maximizing the fundamental value and market capitalization of the company under the conditions of intellectualization of production. Actual scientific researches and issues analysis. The mechanism of functioning of social responsibility, including at the level of the entrepreneurial structure, is investigated in the works of domestic scientists D.O. Bayura, O. S. Hyryk, O. A. Hrishnova, A. M. Kolot, M. A. Saprykina and others. The relevance of non-financial reporting is disclosed in works written by I.P.Vasylchuk, T.V.Davydyuk, G.O.Moskalyuk, S.Ya. In scientific researches, insufficient attention is paid to non-financial reporting as an instrument of identifying potential business opportunities in the process of providing their higher development results. The research objective. Consideration of the theoretical aspects of non-financial reporting, its place and role in the information displayment of data about the results of the integration of the principles of social responsibility into the corporate system of making managerial decisions which related to responsible investment. The statement of basic materials. The essence and significance of social and environmental information were considered. The causes of emergence, key characteristics, types and indicators of non-financial reporting, which is an effective tool for managing corporate social responsibility were identified. The usefulness of indicators of non-financial reporting, incl. in solving tasks related to the formation and use of the components of corporate intellectual capital - the main result of socially responsible investment was proved. The role of the investigated system of informational support in the decision of corporate governance issues which related to cost increase and capitalization of the business structure was highlighted. An attention is paid to institutional investors - the main external users of non-financial information, which are active subjects of socially responsible investments. Conclusions. CSR and its inherent socially responsible investment are a cost-effective activity for any business, and therefore the social and environmental information is intended not only to demonstrate the degree of its openness and transparency, but also to become the base of the corporate governance in the process of solving problems of more effective use of intangible values, which are the key factors of increase of safety, competitiveness, profitability of business, providing of the new prospects for its dynamic growth and development.
