Corporate Social Responsibility: Positioning Effort of a Arguable Concept

Journal Title: Ankara Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi - Year 2010, Vol 2, Issue 1

Abstract

This study criticizes the approaches that explains corporate social responsibility in terms of positivist theory, and problematizes these traditional and widely accepted views through post-positivist approaches. Following this, it is claimed that post-positivist approaches, because of their stress upon particular interests and necessities, the system’s reasons for existence, and relations of force/power, can provide a more accurate perspective to resituate the concept of corporate social responsibility.
