Journal Title: Debiuty Naukowe Studentów Wyższej Szkoły Bankowej - Year 2018, Vol 18, Issue
Abstract
Food law is a relatively underdeveloped discipline in Poland. Given the growing problem of food waste, it also requires more attention on the part of the legislator as well as food producers, distributors and consumers. This article is a review of regulations existing in Poland regarding the prevention of food waste and all legislative activities in this area. The author describes mechanisms that, as intended by the legislator, are in line with the EU policy aimed at limiting food waste and identifies potential effects that the proposed changes in the law are expected to produce in the future.
