Creation of regional innovation systems in economic regions – the future of Ukraine

Abstract
Research centers could become a powerful mechanism for inter-agency coordination at the level of economic regions, the core of the development of innovation infrastructure - the network of business incubators, scientific, techno- and industrial parks (as has been successfully implemented in Ireland), thus enhancing the role of this link in the economic the system of Ukraine, as well as links between subsystems of regional innovation systems. This would increase the role of science in the development of RIS, ensure their greater interconnectivity and effectiveness, combine state and regional interests in ensuring sustainable economic development of the country. For this purpose, scientific centers should be given the appropriate powers and resources that are enshrined in the law.
