CRIMINOLOGICAL PREVENTION OF ILLICIT TRAFFICKING OF ALCOHOL DRINKS IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The article analyzes measures of criminological prevention of illicit trafficking of alcoholic beverages in Ukraine. The necessary areas of work of special law enforcement agencies are set to counter the spread of counterfeit alcohol products. Distribution of falsified and counterfeit alcoholic products in Ukraine has become threatening. Today, according to approximate estimates of experts, in the Ukrainian market there are 70-80% of illegally made alcoholic beverages. These indicators show the ineffectiveness of the work of special authorized bodies aimed at controlling and regulating the alcohol market as well as countering the illicit manufacture of these products and their distribution. Unfortunately, today there is a low level of cooperation between citizens and the tax police due to the lack of trust in the latter. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out information work among the population of residential neighborhoods regarding the harmfulness and danger of the purchase of alcohol products from unknown or unfamiliar people, especially when there is no excise taxes. It is advisable to familiarize consumers with the main signs of counterfeiting of alcohol and excise stamps, as well as to carry out an explanatory campaign to reduce the abuse of alcoholic beverages.To provide people with social services addresses that help get rid of alcohol addiction. In order to increase public confidence in law enforcement bodies, informal events and acts must be held. Local police officers should also be involved in this work, as they are the closest authorized persons who monitor the order and prevent crime in a particular area.
