CRITERIA FOR DEFINITION AND SCOPE OF THE CONCEPT AS A UNIT OF A CONCEPTUAL PICTURE OF THE WORLD

Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the concept as a multidimensional unit of the conceptual picture of the world, analysis of different approaches and criteria for defining a concept, to clarify the scope of this concept, tracing the evolution of linguistic views on the concept as an element of the conceptual picture of the world, systematization and detail of operational ideas of research, consideration of basic approaches to understanding the concepts, defining the structure and components of the concept – subject-figurative, conceptual, and value.
