Current status of the new fragment separator ACCULINNA-2 and the first-day experiments
Journal Title: Eurasian journal of physics and functional materials - Year 2019, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
The commissioning of the new fragment separator ACCULINNA-2 at FLNR JINR is accomplished. The separator is destined to expand the possibilities in studies of dripline nuclei performed with the exotic secondary radioactive ion beams (RIBs) at energies of (5 – 50) AMeV. The projected high transmission and purification level were confirmed experimentally for a number of RIBs in the last two years. The ACCULINNA-2 setup will become a backbone facility at FLNR for the research in the field of light exotic nuclei. This report shows the current status of the separator, describes the obtained RIBs parameters and first experiments as well, provides the overview of the developing detection, monitoring and control subsystems.

Synthesis and investigation of optical properties of CdSe quantum dots with high quantum luminescence yield
In the present work, an attempt to obtain quantum dots with a high quantum luminescence yield has been made. For this purpose, the existing methods of synthesis have been studied; approbation of availability and reproduc...
Analysis of (11Li+9Be)-reaction in the framework of the time-dependent Schrodinger equation
Neutron transfer and nucleus breakup cross sections in (11Li+9Be)-reaction are calculated at energy range up to 32 MeV/nucleon. The evolution of probability density of external weakly bound neutrons of 11Li and the proba...
Ecologically safe experimental purpose application of microwaves in the treatment of chronic neurological disorders: optimization and risks
Current paper describes the experimental dual-purpose application of microwaves in a controlled clinical trial on optimizing therapy for chronic neurological disorders. As a part of integrated treatment, low-intensity mi...
Development of electroforming method for coating of polymer membranes by graphene oxide
The current research is focused on development of electroforming method for coating of porous membranes by graphene oxide. A mixture based on polymethylmetacrylate dissolved in acetone and graphene oxide was pumped throu...
Structure and electrophysical properties of materials based on nanoparticles of oil asphaltenes
This paper is a generalization of the authors’ works in the field of asphaltene physics fulfilled in recent years. Specific features of the "insulator-semiconductor" phase transition in high-boiling hydrocarbon fractions ar...
