CYBER TERRORISM AS THE EXEMPLIFICATION OF MEDIA TERRORISM

Abstract
Today, there are many forms of terrorism. Technological advances have enabled the development of new forms of terrorism, and these advances in technology are being exploited by terrorist organizations in finding new, morę efficient methods of carrying out acts of terrorism. The authors of this article are highlighting the extremely important issue of cyber terrorism, which constitutes an act of terrorism carried out by means of аѵаііа- ble information technology. The article shows that this kind of terrorism can take various forms. It should be noted that the cyberattacks are being used by terrorists morę freąuently as a means of attacks. In doing so, they are exploiting the State and its citizens’ growing dependence on cyberspace and social media.
