Deadlock detection in agent-based virtual knowledge communities

Journal Title: Annals. Computer Science Series - Year 2010, Vol 8, Issue 2

Abstract

In attempt to develop an intelligent agent based model for deadlock detection in Virtual Knowledge Communities (VKC), shadow and detector agents were used to facilitate the detection process in the design. A mathematical model based on the design for deadlock detection and resolution in multi-agent communities was developed. The prototype implementation was carried out using Java platform technology. Experimental result is satisfactory in addressing the issue of deadlock problems in knowledge sharing in agent-based VKC.
