DEMOGRAPHIC EXPLOSION AND IT GOVERNANCE IN PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

In a globalized world, with a population in continuous growth, problems of administration and management of the natural heritage worsens. Our research attempts to address the issue of increasing managerial performance by using IT governance in public administration and identifying new ways of dealing with environmental issues. Based on the paradigm that despite technological advances and demographic recorded problems yesterday found today, but the solutions of yesterday are no longer effective and require new solutions, we sought to identify the dimensions of this paradigm and to highlight possible courses of action. As the main research method used was documentary analysis and simulation of indicators of public interest through IT. A major determinant of this research was the fact that in Romania was completed National Register of institutions these institutions comprising 42,227. Reported a population of 19.76 million inhabitants it is apparent that an institution incumbent on average as addressability, 468 inhabitants, while the average employee of a public institute is 51 employees (1.2 million employees working for the state). What is the role of IT governance in public institutions and how they solve demographic problems is the question that we tried to find an answer.
