DESIGN OF THE RECTANGULAR PLATE TWO ADJACENT SIDES OF WHICH ARE RESTRAINED AND THE OTHER TWO ADJACENT SIDES ARE HINGED

Abstract
The problem of design of the rigid rectangular plate with two adjacent restrained sides and two freely supported sides when the system is subjected to any external loads is considered. To solve the problem in question there was proposed a uniform method for designing such plates, using the mixed method of structural mechanics in the formulation developed by the author.
