Destination Zero – Deconstructing Inclusion

Journal Title: International Journal of Contemporary Management - Year 2011, Vol 10, Issue 2

Abstract

While there is some critical interrogation of the underlying values that constitute the moral purpose of leadership and the patterns of practice mediated and constructed through leadership this paper argues that the concept of inclusion as a policy trajectory for education systems and for school leadership requires a broader critique. It argues that, in the absence of fundamental changes to systems, structures and constellations of power, the construct of inclusive schooling fails to deliver on its intended outcome.
