DETERMINANTS FOR THE FORMATION OF THE CHINESE LINGUO-CULTURAL COMPETENCE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS UNDER CONDITIONS OF MODERN SECONDARY SCHOOL

Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of the Chinese linguo-cultural competence of primary school students under conditions of the modern Ukraine’s secondary school. Despite the popularity of the Chinese language in Ukraine as the third foreign language after English and German, we highlight the importance of Chinese artistic works as a source of cultural heritage of the people living in the Celestial Empire. In this regard, the aim of the article is to identify the determinants for the formation of the Chinese linguo-cultural competence of primary school pupils under conditions of modern secondary school. Some philosophical and pedagogical foundations for the formation of the Chinese linguo-cultural competence of primary school pupils have been analysed in the article: the teaching of the Chinese philosopher Confucius. Among the key postulates of his concept in the context of the study, we distinguish the ones, as follows: 1) the rule of behaviour and moral re-education; 2) mastering knowledge through training; 3) the value of the revision of the before studied material; 4) the «relationship» between knowledge and actions. The combination of the enlightenment ideas introduced by Confucius as well as the Celestial Empire’s fiction contribute into the productive formation of the primary school students’ linguistic and cultural experience in the context of the program material integration in the field of teaching foreign and native languages. Another vector of the all-round formation of the studied competence of primary school students is ethnic poetry and prose possessing aesthetic and social characteristics, to be more precise: • the lyric poetry of ancient China; • descriptions of nature; • patriotism. Thus, the philosophical-pedagogical, aesthetic and social experience of the Chinese people, embodied in Confucius’s literary works and the works of the leading Chinese poets and prose writers living in different epochs of China’s history, is considered to be the determinants for the formation of the Chinese linguo-cultural competence of primary school pupils under modern secondary school conditions. The perspectives of further research are seen in the study aimed at determining the state of educational materials which contribute into the formation of the Chinese linguo-cultural competence of primary school pupils within Ukrainian’s secondary schools.
