Determination of angle of attack for rotating blades
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2012, Vol 4, Issue 2
Abstract
For a rotating blade the flow passing by a blade section is bended due to the rotation and the local flow field is influenced by the bound circulation on the blade. As a further complication, 3-D effects from tip and root vortices do a precise definition of the angle of attack (AOA) a difficult task. Two methods for determining the AOA on rotating blade from velocity and pressure measurements are presented.

Near Optimal Explicit Guidance Law with Impact Angle Constraints for a Hypersonic Re-entry Vehicle
Two guidance laws are discussed in this paper. The first one is the Vector guidance law. This guidance law when equipped with the appropriate gains has the capability to hit a target at the desired impact angle. A parame...

Numerical simulations on increasing turbojet engines exhaust mixture ratio using fluidic chevrons
This paper refers to some aspects regarding the terms “chevron” and “fluidic chevron” and to the process of increasing the jet engines exhaust mixing rate towards achieving noise reduction. One of the noise reduction met...
Two phase flow models in DxUNSp code platform
The aim of this work is to find an efficient implementation for a two phase flow model in an existing URANS CFD code platform (DxUNSp), initially based on unsteady URANS equations with a k-ε turbulence model and various...
