Journal Title: IJAR-Indian Journal of Applied Research - Year 2016, Vol 6, Issue 7
Abstract
This article describes the process of development and standardization of the Students Stress Dimension Questionnaire (SSDQ) for Assessing Stress on a sample of 510 University Students of different faculties aged 18 to 35. Initially a 100-item scale was prepared based on '0' “1” and '2' format (where 0=never, 1=sometimes, 2=very often or frequently). In the testing process, 7 questions i.e q50,q53, q55, q56, q63,q64,q65 were found to be non-significant on t-test for equality of means(p-value >0.05) and were dropped leaving 93 items to form the final form of the SSDQ. Further, it was found to have high split-half reliability and adequate internal consistency (Chronbachs alpha 0.865)
