Development of Automatic Calculation Program for Passenger Flow Assignment in Urban Rail Transit Network Based on VISUM

Abstract
[Objective] In view of the much repetitive work in the calculation process of passenger flow assignment in urban rail transit network, an automatic calculation program is developed on the basis of the research on the passenger flow assignment process. [Method] Requirements of developing automatic calculation program for passenger flow assignment in urban rail transit network are reviewed. The main technical process of the program based on VISUM software is introduced. Based on demand analysis, the program is divided into four main functional modules, i.e. network supply scheme modeling, network demand scheme modeling, traffic assignment calculation and data output. The operating content of the four modules in the program and the parameter passing process are described. The calculation process and realization method of the network supply scheme modeling module are emphasized. [Result & Conclusion] Examples verify that the program can not only meet the complicated analysis and calculation requirements of passenger flow assignment, but also improve its efficiency.
