Development of general abilities of primary school pupils by means of modern computer games technologies

Abstract

The paper illustrates the analysis of the problem of early psychological diagnostics, development, psychological support of general abilities of young children as the prospect for development of an individual. The issue of psychological structure, dynamics and cognitive activity is shown, as well as data that indicates its substantial increase among primary school pupils in conditions of game communication. Games psycho technologies and techniques are characterized (including computer ones). Such techniques are preferred by a number of researchers in modern conditions of intensive scientific and technical progress for mastering of new information technologies by children. The paper presents a study expressing doubts about the effectiveness of the game as the main tool that provides cognitive assimilation of the proposed material. Thus, the article highlights the dependence of young children cognitive orientation on the form of learning, and in particular, the correlation of these games and educational components in the process of learning. A computer, which is one of the best toys for child and for adult, is characterized due to the fact that it’s a unique mediator between the real world and the inner world of the child, it makes it possible to create any real situations or even sci-fi universe, it certainly contributes to the cognitive development of the child, development of his general abilities.
