Development of Inland Water Transport on the Gliwice Canal

Abstract
The paper presents a preliminary analysis of the possibilities of development of water transport on the Gliwice Canal, taking into account both economic, social and environmental aspects. The aim of the article is not clearly indicate the optimal variant of investments but rather the presentation of a multicriteria analysis method that can help decision-makers to make a balanced decision, taking into account many aspects and the rationale of different environments, both in this and other investments, which is typically difficult to implement in public projects.
