DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE ACTIVITIES OF ENTERPRISES IN THE FORMATIVE PHASE OF SMART-ECONOMY: THE SECTORAL ASPECTS

Abstract
This article is devoted to the problems of development of industrial enterprises’ innovation activity in the formative phase of the digital and smart economy. Based on the analysis of foreign experience, the key success factors in the area of industrial enterprises digital transformations are revealed. It is shown that the nature and directions of smart innovations are sector-specific. The trends of innovative development and the degree of the Ukrainian chemical industry readiness to smart transformations are analysed. The set of the initial steps for enhancement the innovation activity of enterprises in the Industry 4.0 context is proposed.
