DEVELOPMENT OF THE SEMANTICS OF NOUNS GOMO, GOMMAN “MAN, HUMAN BEING” IN GERMAN (BASED ON ANCIENT TEXTS: DIACHRONIC STUDY)

Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the development of the semantics of nouns with the meaning “man, human being” in German in the diachronic aspect. The field structure of the lexical meaning of the studied nouns is analyzed. The research was carried out on the material of etymological, bilingual dictionaries, as well as the original texts of different periods in the development of the German language. The results of the research can be used in the practice of teaching German and in the course of lectures on the history of the German language.
