Development Strategies of Central and Eastern European States

Journal Title: Chorzowskie Studia Polityczne - Year 2018, Vol 15, Issue

Abstract

The reasons, current status and further development prospects for the countries located between the Adriatic Sea, the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea. The goal of this article is to verify the research hypothesis assuming that the cooperation of the Central and Eastern European states does not only exist as the alliance of the EU states but also under the implementation of the old concepts of the Three Seas Initiative and Intermarium. Further development of the region as a separate group of states with institutional links can be achieved through cooperation with strategic partners. The empirical analysis covers the states which in recent years have strengthened mutual economic relations in this part of Europe despite not being as well-developed as the Western EU countries. The countries of the region are required to execute specific geostrategies [Czaputowicz 2018: 91] as they are surrounded by economic and military superpowers. For the empirical analysis we are choosing states which in final years the economic interrelation deepened, although they aren’t on yes the highest level, like with other strategic partners.
