Diagnosis of the music aptitude level of early primary school education pupils in Poland and Ukraine on the basis of own studies

Abstract

The paper presents the results of the Intermediate Measures of Music Audiation test by Edwin E. Gordon. It was conducted on a group of early primary school education pupils in Poland and Ukraine. The test consists of two stages: Tonal test and Rhythm test. When analysing the gathered data, the authors presented the arithmetic average of each test and the span of raw results. The authors calculated local percentile standards and analysed the results of each pupil.
