Dissolution of metallic coatings of Cr-Co alloys: A literature review
Journal Title: Prosthodontics - Year 2012, Vol 62, Issue 6
Abstract
Various methods, including electropolishing, are used to obtain the optimal smoothness of removable partial denture framework. The dissolution of metallic coatings also increases the durability of alloys and decreases their susceptibility to corrosion. The aim of this paper is to present the historical background, current developments and possible advancements in the electropolishing technologies.
