Abstract
During the twentieth century “Swan lake” was choreographed and set by such choreographers as M. Diskovsky, L. Zhukov, G. Berezov, F. Lopukhov, R. Vizierenko-Klyavin, A. Sheker, V. Kovtun. The peculiarities of these successful and less successful choreographic editions were: author's view on the classics; creating a choreographic drama with a tragedy-rich final; extraction of separate secondary roles; Replacing conditional pantomime with plastic rehearses; underline the fantastic element of the performance, etc.
