Abstract
Arvydas Galinis gimė 1958 m. rugsėjo 21 d. Rokiškio rajone, Petriošiškio kaime. 1976 m. baigė Panemunėlio vidurinę mokyklą ir įstojo į Kauno politechnikos institutą (dabar Kauno technologijos universitetas) studijuoti Elektros energijos tiekimo pramonės įmonėms, miestams ir žemės ūkiui specialybę. 1981 m. studijas baigė su pagyrimu ir pradėjo dirbti inžinieriumi Lietuvos mokslų akademijos Fizikinių-techninių energetikos problemų institute (dabar Lietuvos energetikos institutas). Nuo 1983 m. dirbo jaunesniuoju mokslo darbuotoju. 1984–1986 m. mokėsi Fizikinių-techninių energetikos problemų instituto aspirantūroje.
