Abstract

In the last decades of twentieth century and the first decade of the twenty first century information and communication technologies influenced all of the aspects of life such as culture, economy, education and commerce and turned the world into a global village in a true sense. The industry and industrial trainings were no exception in this regard and they highly benefited from these technologies by utilizing new models of learning and education in training employees. Though Iran is still behind developed countries and even behind some of the countries in the region in industry and education sectors, some efforts are being made. In fact electronic education and learning can transform education generally and industrial education specifically and create new perspective for industrial educations in the country. However, the fact is that elearning has also some limitations that have been overcome by some new approaches such as blended learning approach with combining electronic leaning and face to face education. Thus,. the present paper aims to give a theoretical framework of blended learning approach (as a new application of e-learning) in industrial trainings in the first section. And it presents the results of experimental studies conducted in Heavy Equipment Production Company (HEPCO) at Arak city with this approach in the second section. In the experimental section of the study, the population, the employees and the managers of the HEPCO company is consisted of 1278 individuals and the sample is consisted of 30 individuals as the control group and 60 individuals as the experimental group. The results indicate that educational design with blended approach (combination of e-learning and face to face education) is significantly effective compared to traditional education.
