Edukacja na rzecz bezpieczeństwa w świetle nowej reformy oświaty

Abstract

With the development of civilization, the striving to ensure the safety of children and youth is becoming the main task of school education. There is often the idea that preparing the state to defend the inviolability of borders, sovereignty and independence, and to provide people with personal security is a specific sum of defensive consciousness as well as the knowledge and skills of each human individual. The general education of society will determine the future of the nation and its power. Although education needs stability, it is harder and harder to achieve it in common environment. Industrialization, the implementation of the Internet of Things as well as the degradation of natural environment are sources of instability and a permanent growth of factors which have impact on human health and the Earth itself. As a result, children and youth are lost in today's world, saturated with technology and information, from which it is difficult to clearly distinguish good from evil or truth from falsehood. Threats cannot be eliminated, but we can and must reduce them. Therefore, what is needed right now is education for security. A discussion about the teaching curriculum basis (core curriculum) is popular in our country. External events (macro-perception) cause the activities in the sphere of the education system to cease to be effective, despite the great effort made by teachers and students. This paper presents the results of the author's research and experience in this subject, also discussing some limitations that result in an insufficient rate of change in security education.
