Abstract
Projects of the high speed railways construction Poland, apart from effects resulting from the improvement in the underdeveloped train system, i.e. radical shortening traveling time in the scale of the entire country, improvement in the transport accessibility of all Polish regions and improvement the economic efficiency of train carriers, have an essential economic impact on the country’s development. It results not only from the scale of investments, but mostly by a significant impulse of the innovation and advanced technologies that translate in the development of other economic’s fields. Apart from the improvement in macroeconomic indicators, the structure of the high speed lines will have an essential impact on train and building industry as well as will be a serious impulse for the development of scientific and research infrastructure. These issues are an object of analysis in the article.
