EFFICIENCY OF FINANCING OF THE POLISH EDUCATION SYSTEM – COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

Abstract
During the transformation period, as well as many years after the transformation, Polish education was subjected to many reforms. Currently, it is difficult to say whether the current situation is optimal. However, comparison of operations of the Polish educational system, with many other countries of the European Union, shows that there is still much to be done on this issue. Underfunding of Polish education is visible in relatively low expenditure on education, education and training as well as the remuneration of teachers. It is positive that the measures allocated for education from year to year systematically growing, which results in good conditions for improving the quality of education in Poland. This pape rshows the effectiveness of management of public funds spent on educational objectives compared to other EU countries. The analysis has used secondary data derived from official statistics.<br/><br/>
